About Me
Experience, independence, and a commitment to public service
“I’m Kristine Adams-Wannberg. I am your Washington County Auditor, and I am asking for your support for a second term in office.
I am dedicated to government accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. I am a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Government Auditing Professional, and Certified Fraud Examiner, with nearly 30 years of experience in local government auditing, policy evaluation, and financial analysis.
Throughout my career, I have examined programs ranging from homelessness and public safety services to economic development. My work helps governments improve their operations, strengthen accountability, and better serve the public. I genuinely love auditing and bring a continuous-improvement mindset to everything I do.
I am active in the auditing profession and previously served as President of the Association of Local Government Auditors.
I hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Portland State University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the College of Idaho.
I also volunteer my time on several government committees. I currently serve on the audit committees for Metro, the Oregon Department of Revenue, and the Oregon Department of Education. I am a community member of the Hillsboro School District Budget Committee, and I have previously served on Portland Community College’s Audit Committee and the City of Hillsboro’s Financial Audit Committee.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, gardening, fishing, boating, and attending Hillsboro Hops games. I am a proud track-and-field parent and a strong supporter of parks, natural spaces, and youth activities.
I live with my husband, Jeff, and our three children — along with our pets — in unincorporated Washington County near Hillsboro. We have been Washington County residents for nearly 30 years and cannot imagine a better place to live.”
